While there may be some major /area or residency restrictions, these opportunities are not limited to specific institutions. As time goes on, I’ll add more opportunities that are forwarded to me.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc.

CHADE Foundation Scholarship

The Chade Foundation Scholarship Program is offering financial aid to incoming and current college or graduate school students. Requirements to apply include:

Students must be currently enrolled in college or graduate school will matriculate the next academic year (2015-2016).

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Illinois.

Must be, or intend to be, a full-time student.

Students may only be awarded the scholarship twice.

If you have received a scholarship twice, you are no longer eligible to receive a scholarship for Chade Foundation.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.
Applicants must be:

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation General Mills Health Scholarship
Deadline: February
This scholarship was established in 1998 to increase the number of minority students pursuing degrees in the fields of medicine, engineering, technology, nutrition, and other health-related studies. In collaboration with CBCF, CBC district offices work with local scholarship committees to select scholarship recipients. Since the inception of the program, General Mills has invested more than $1,000,000 to underwrite this initiative. The CBCF General Mills Health Scholarship has served hundreds of students over the years, and has helped to create leaders in the medical and health related fields. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students who reside or attend school in a CBC member district.

Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Education Scholarship

Seeing an educational need in their congressional districts, the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship was established in 1988 by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus members in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. This scholarship awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated students of all majors who intend to pursue full-time undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students who reside or attend school in a CBC member district.

Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Heineken USA Performing Arts Scholarship

This program was established in 2000 in honor of the late Curtis Mayfield to ensure that students pursuing a degree in the performing arts receive financial assistance. Performing arts includes theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching bands, etc. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students who reside or attend school in a CBC member district.

Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship

The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship was established in 2006 to provide financial assistance to students who are pursuing a degree in the visual arts. Visual arts include architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, photography, sketching, video production, etc. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students who reside or attend school in a CBC member district.

Deborah Partridge Wolfe~ International Fellowship

Eula Dean Roby Scholarship For Education Majors

The Eula Dean Roby Scholarship is made possible by a generous donation to the Delta Research and Educational Foundation by Eula Dean Roby, a longtime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and retired educator, who resided in Southern California. Mrs. Roby passed in 2013.

Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation

Scholarship guidelines are the following:

An applicant must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student during the fall term of 2015 at an accredited community college or four-year college or university;

An applicant must be of Latino ancestry;
-
The application form must be filled out completely and typed, including a personal statement describing how the scholarship award will help the recipient achieve his or her educational and career goals;

A letter of recommendation written by the student’s primary academic advisor or major professor is required. The letter must be on official college letterhead, include a contact phone number, and be mailed separately to the address below;

Scholarship money must be used in the same academic year as it is granted; and
-
Previous winners of an ILLCF scholarship are not eligible to apply again.

TMCF | DAVID J. STERN SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Thurgood Marshall College Fund are proud to administer the David J. Stern Scholarship Program, which will provide a talented and enthusiastic student the opportunity to enhance his or her studies at a college or university of his or her choice, including any one of the nation’s 4-year Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The scholarship awarded each year will be determined on the basis of merit and need.
The recipient will receive a 3-year renewable scholarship at $10,000 per year (for a total not to exceed $30,000). He or she will also have the opportunity to apply to intern at the NBA league office (dependent upon eligibility) as a rising senior and will receive direct mentorship from Commissioner Emeritus David Stern.
Scholarship Criteria:

Enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university

Open to all majors with an interest in sports

Classified as a sophomore as of the beginning of Fall 2016

Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and maintains such grade point average in each contract year in which the student receives a scholarship

Recipients must meet certain GPA and conduct requirements each academic year to remain eligible for renewal

Renewable scholarship is defined as: tuition plus all mandatory fees, room & board factoring in other available non-loan resources
